Deeply Disappointed — Serious Bullying Problems and Poor Leadership
Our family had high hopes when we enrolled our child at St. John, expecting a nurturing, faith-based environment. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. Bullying is an ongoing and serious problem here, and despite repeated reports and meetings, the administration — especially the principal — has done little to address it in a meaningful way.
Many families share similar concerns, yet the response is always the same: vague promises, no follow-up, and no real change. Several excellent teachers who truly cared about the students have left over the past couple of years, and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere has become negative and inconsistent, and morale among both staff and students seems very low.
We had hoped for a Catholic school that would teach compassion, respect, and accountability, but sadly, those values don’t seem to be reflected in how problems are handled here. Until the leadership takes bullying seriously and makes an effort to retain quality teachers, I cannot recommend St. John to other families.
